HED Offers FREE Home Visits
One of our knowledgeable consultants can visit your home for FREE. Our consultant will listen to your ideas and requirements. Then they will provide the best possible advice and other creative ideas so you have the full picture of building your extension or making your conversion. All within your budget.
We’ll also discuss council permissions and requirements, which may or may not be needed. Along with our inside knowledge we’ll give budget build costs and any other procedures, plus explain how the fee structure works.
FREE Quotation
Once we’ve discussed your ideas and agreeing a way forward, we will prepare a free quotation. The quotation will include all the milestones for your project.
We can provide many examples of our conversion work and supply any other relevant information you may require.
Extension and Conversion Partnerships
As we have so many years of experience we’ve worked with many tradesmen, including party wall experts, builders, electricians and decorators. Let us know if you would like our trades people recommendations.
Adding Value to Your Home
An extension or conversion is a lot cheaper than moving these days and adds significant value to your home.
Find More Space
You may need a larger lounge, kitchen or bedroom; an extra room for the kids to play or relax in, a study, utility, bathroom, toilet or even an en-suite. We will find the maximum space for your needs.
How long does a Single Storey Extension take to build?
Builders will give you the best-case scenario. Realistically you’ll be looking at three months for a simple extension without complications to four months for one slightly bigger.
How long does it take to get planning permission for a Single Story Extension?
Local authorities are meant to make a decision within eight weeks. If it is a straightforward Extension then eight weeks is a good guide. Planning officers will advertise the application; consult neighbours and perhaps other agencies if needed.
What if my Planning Permission is refused?
Around three quarters of planning applications are approved first time in England. Having proper and detailed drawings of your project will increase your chances of success and save you money and time.
How long does Planning Permission last?
The usual time frame is three years unless your Permission states otherwise.
